Labels’ Next Chapter: Meet Our New Owners!

After twenty years of ownership, Sage Bishop, the founder of Labels Consignment, has handed over the reins to two familiar faces: Kasey Mills and Leah Landingham. Both have been valuable members of the Labels team and are excited to step into their new roles as co-owners.

Meet Kasey Mills

Kasey Mills has been with Labels for several years, working her way up through various roles. Her experience spans everything from customer service to styling and store management. She has a deep understanding of what Labels’ customers appreciate and is eager to maintain the store’s reputation for quality and unique finds. As co-owner, Kasey is focused on keeping Labels as a go-to spot for great consignment pieces while also exploring new ways to grow the business.

Meet Leah Landingham

Leah Landingham’s connection to Labels runs deep. Over the past three years, she’s worked in various roles, gaining a thorough understanding of the consignment process. She values the sense of community that Labels fosters and has a particular fondness for the memorable gifts she’s found in the store - like the giant stuffed animals she bought for her kids, which they still cherish.

A Dynamic Duo

Leah and Kasey are thrilled to step into their new roles and continue building their already strong partnership. Together, they dream of expanding Labels, with hopes of reaching new locations and possibly adding a men’s section. They describe the future of Labels as authentic, inclusive, and fun, and are eager to see how the store can continue to evolve while still offering the amazing deals you know and love.

A Final Message From Sage Bishop

“As I reflect on my journey with Labels, what stands out the most is the incredible support from our community. Without your dedication to consignment, we never could have grown to where we are today. Over the past 20 years, we’ve been able to provide jobs, support the community, and offer consignors an alternative to giving away their items or facing the challenge of selling online.

It’s also been a privilege to support local nonprofits by donating items to those in need. But perhaps what I’ll cherish most is the social aspect; working with wonderful staff, consignors, customers, and vendors. Being part of the Bellingham business community and interacting with such amazing people every day has been an unforgettable experience. I’ve met countless people that have positively impacted my life and I’d like to thank you for that - you know who you are.

I’m forever grateful to each and every person who has made Labels what it is today. While I will miss being constantly surrounded by this wonderful community of ours, I hope you’re as excited as I am for this new era of Labels. I have the utmost confidence in Kasey and Leah, and I have no doubt that they will take our beloved consignment shop to the next level. Thank you for an incredible 20 years, and cheers to 20 more!”
